SPEARpath x Helping Hands (Hyderabad)
This summer, SPEARpath partnered with Helping Hands, an orphanage in Hyderabad, India, to extend our mission of making STEM education more accessible to underserved communities. Over several weeks, our team designed and taught interactive classes for young girls ages 7–14, covering subjects such as biology and chemistry. We had the pleasure of hosting six engaging classes with them, where the girls explored new concepts, asked curious questions, and learned a wide variety of exciting STEM topics. Instead of relying on textbooks or lectures, we used activities like games, quizzes, and team challenges to make learning both engaging and approachable. This collaboration with Helping Hands represents an important step in SPEARpath’s goal of reaching underserved children globally and equipping them with knowledge, skills, and hope for the future with the power of STEM
SPEARpath’s ‘25 Programming Camp
SPEARpath’s 2025 Summer Camp
SPEARpath’s summer public speaking and art camp from June 7th - 29th was an inspiring journey where young learners discovered creativity through art and sharpened their voices in public speaking. Students explored everything from lively impromptu games to thoughtful debates and even brought stories to life with acting and short plays. In the art sessions, they crafted ribbon roses, sketched detailed pencil drawings, experimented with clay, and painted vibrant watercolors. Alongside these enriching activities, we proudly raised more than $1,500 in support of the Round Rock Education Foundation. The passion and growth shown by the participants made the camp a truly remarkable experience filled with lasting impact.
SPEARpath's winter camp was a huge success, offering students engaging public speaking and science classes that were both fun and educational. The students had a fantastic time, gaining new skills and confidence while exploring exciting topics. We were also thrilled to raise over $1000 for the Round Rock Education Foundation, supporting local education initiatives. The energy and enthusiasm from the students made the camp an unforgettable experience for everyone involved!
The last two weeks of July, SPEARPath collaborated with Leap4ward School to host a two week programming camp. We had the pleasure of welcoming 30+ enthusiastic students who signed up to explore the world of coding. With the help of our SPEARPath team and our two dedicated volunteers, students were guided through the fundamentals of Scratch to build their creative, logic-based foundations and later advanced to Python, where they learned to write programs, solve problems, and bring their ideas to life. At the end of each week, students were teamed up in groups of five to present their Scratch and Python projects in front of an audience, proudly sharing their creativity and hard work!

SPEARpath’s 2024 Summer Classes
SPEARpath’s summer classes were a hit, featuring fun-filled sessions in art and robotics (Sphero) for students ages 7-11. The robotics class, taught by UT Austin student Ajay, allowed students to explore coding and robotics, culminating in an exciting Demo Day where the kids showcased their impressive Sphero skills, racing their robots through obstacle courses and completing challenges. Meanwhile, the art students presented their colorful and creative trifolds, displaying their artwork and projects. The energy was high, and the kids were thrilled to share their accomplishments, making the summer camp a memorable experience for all!
